More About Me
I am an ARU level 2 accredited rugby coach.
I currently coach at Saint Ignatius' College, and have almost ten years experience coaching the 15As and 16As at the school.
I have also coached at various rugby school holiday camps such as Camp Wallaby, where I was responsible for coaching players who range from 7-14 years of age, and in the advanced group of the camp.
I also run my own personal training business which goes hand in hand with the coaching I do for rugby.
I have had one on one clients who have come to me with minimal expectations, but have become Australian and NSW schoolboy representatives after training with me.
I have played rugby both professionally, and semi-professionally in Australia nationwide and overseas.
I currently play for Northern Suburbs in the Shute Shield (1st grade) competition and made my 1st grade debut in 2010. I was a member of the 2016 team when we won the premiership.
I played in the NRC with the Sydney Rays in 2015 and 2016, and I lived in Canberra, playing and training with the Brumbies in 2011.
I also recently completed a season in Spain (2016-17), playing in their national competition - the Division De Honor.
The sessions I run are based primarily on the position of the athlete. I learn a lot from the athlete themselves through them telling me what weaknesses they may already know they need to work on, and I have an encyclopaedia of ways to enhance those skills and turn them into strengths.
Previous playing experience, video footage, and the age of the athletes I work with will affect my approach with them as well.
Clients often prefer to be taken through sessions that target an abundance of skill sets. E.g. Tackle technique, fitness work, catch and pass, and ball carry. This is absolutely no issue, and no session has limits.
I would never want to have a client that walks away from training with me without enhancing AT LEAST 3-4 seperate types of skills.
