I specialize in coaching different positions in the backline, as well as backlines as a whole. Each of these skills/aspects of the game can be coached individually, or in a group session. Backline: Moves/backline skills and shape as well as defensive patternsIndividual skills: Position specific skills e.g. passing from scrumhalf, working the opposition backline as a flyhalf, reading plays as a fullback etc. General Skills: Catch and pass, general in-play kicking, tracking and tacklingSpecific Kicking: Goal kicking, restarts, tactical/territorial kicking etc. Fitness: Game scenario fitness drills better suited for rugby playersGame Tactics: running through certain options in different situations to develop players understanding of the game

More About Me

I have 4 years of coaching experience to go with more than 10 years of playing experience, learning from quality coaches around the world. I began coaching in 2014, the year after I finished my schooling at Waverley College in Sydney's eastern suburbs. I have coached at Waverley the whole time, taking both teams and also working as a specialist type coach, helping with certain areas of players games throughout the age groups. I currently coach the 16B's at Waverley and am the kicking coach for all age groups. I also have experience coaching with Australian Sporting Camps during school holidays. I am currently a level 1 coach and will be completing my level 2 in the coming months.

I played in A grade, 2XV and 1st XV rugby teams during my time at Waverley College, along with selection in the CAS South Harbour and CAS u/16 teams. I also played for Randwick in the NSW Junior State Championships in my younger years. Since leaving school, I've played provincial grade rugby for the Glasgow Hawks in Scotland and currently play for Eastern Suburbs Rugby Club.

I run the session to suit the needs of the athlete, everyone is different and therefore will need different aspects of their game worked on. I like to ensure the athlete gets the most out of the session as possible by having them involved as much as possible. Working on core skills required at all times during games, I plan to use sessions to develop players weaknesses into strengths and improve even more so on what their existing strengths are.
