My main focus as a coach is on skill development, especially when it comes to coaching the younger age-groups, the primary concentration is on developing the individual skills of a player which will allow them to reach their best potential.
I focus specifically on working on having the correct technique, and also developing game-awareness by replicating in-game situations in practice so that they will be prepared for any situation in the game.
With older kids, I look to introduce tactical elements to the game, and what their role/responsibilities are for different positions.
