Touches, touches, touches. Be prepared to work your feet. Whether it's Coerver drills, short passing drills, long balls, or general ball striking, expect to be on the ball extensively. I believe that the absolute best thing one can do is improve their technical skill and comfort level on the ball, and the only way to do that is by moving around with it at your feet nearly the entire time. It'll be a ton of fun and work.

Here's a quick synopsis of an hour long session with me:

5-10 minute warm-up (follow the leader dribbling with some dynamic stretching)

15 minutes of Coerver style dribbling drills and juggling drills

15 minutes of short passing (1-touch passing, 2-touch passing, settling with different parts of the foot, settling the ball in different ways)

15 minutes of long-balls and/or challenges settling

10-15 minutes of dribbling, focusing on 1v1 moves


Of course I will cater the session depending on the strengths, weaknesses, and skill level of the player.
