Worked as a volunteer cricket coach at a club in Mumbai(India) for 4 years. Coached many friends and kids including 1 on 1 sessions and group sessions. Currently coaching private clients in schools which include the Kings School in North Parramatta.
Played a few matches for Guildford League club. Played for my school for under 14 and under 16. Played and captained in a lot of informal tournaments for our society and region including gully cricket in India.
Though open to session lengths of any duration, my ideal coaching session lasts 2 hours. First 5 minutes is usually warm up. I prefer to have 3 30 minute session for batting, bowling and fielding/catching each. In between a 15 minute drill for sharpening your eyes. And finally a 'cool down' session with some interesting theory regarding cricket. If you're a regular student, then a small homework at the end of the session. Focus on coaching would be developing a strategy. Smart work combined with hard work is the key to success.
The above is my typical introductory session. The next sessions would vary according to the requirement.
But if you want to focus on just selected areas, open to doing that too.
