More About Me
Roughly 4 years experience coaching both 1 on 1 and group cricket sessions. I have worked for several clubs running In2Cricket programs, coaching teams and mainly coaching individuals on Sydney's Northern Beaches. I have coached u6s who have just begun playing cricket to u16 District Cricket teams, My background is in fitness, so i have the ability to incorporate fitness aspects into sessions. I have roughly 20 clients that range from u10 - u15s and i have my Level 1 certificate, a Bachelors in Sports Management and a Certificate IV in Fitness.
I grew up playing cricket on the Northern Beaches and have come up through the Manly Warringah pathway program where i was coached by the likes of Mike Pawley, Peter Philpott and Mark McInnes. I understand how the system works from a young age up into adolescent years. I continued to play at Manly for a few seasons after junior representative cricket. Here i played grade cricket before i moved to Warringah Shires. The reason for the move was to allow me enough time to play cricket and coach/grow my business.
Not only am i teaching clients to play cricket, i am teaching discipline. Various clients contact me for coaching because i have an easy going nature that allows me to build a relationships with those i coach and breakdown the technical side of the game to make it easier to understand. I coach both batting, bowling and fielding as i feel all aspects are essential in the development of children. Sessions will consist of batting drills (pending skill level), followed by bowling (even if kids don't like bowling, i feel it is good to do to improve motor skills and coordination) and i will always find time to fit in some fielding as this is a huge part of the game.
